Meet Our Team

Ericka Charbonnet, Co-founder, and President, and Chairman

Ericka grew up in a Christian home in California where both of her parents were leaders in the church. At a very young age Ericka lacked confidence and self-worth due to some challenges in her home life. At the age of 12, her parents split up. This opened the door to years of pain and low self esteem. After enduring sexual mistreatment and a date rape, Ericka fell victim to an older man trafficking her through the underground porn industry. These traumas shaped her story, healing, transformation and calling.

Due to her life-journey, Ericka’s passions and personal mission statement lie within these Scriptures: In Isaiah 61, God calls us to rebuild, repair and revive the ancient ruins and destruction of our lives. Ericka currently lives in Southern California, is married to the love of her life, has a son, Jeremiah and a step-son, Daniel.

As a survivor of Human Trafficking, Ericka is available to share her story to bring awareness to the realities of sexual manipulation, coercion and trafficking.

BOARD MEMBERS

Linda Maghy, Secretary of siHi Board

“Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the right of widows.” – Isaiah 1:17.  These are words that I have strived to live by in my personal life and in my career as an attorney. In addition to previously serving in the areas of human rights, combatting human trafficking, immigration, mental health, and education advocacy, I have assisted with the legal formation of nonprofit organizations covering a variety of underserved needs. One such organization is stepping into His image.  I first came to siHi as a participant in 2015 and witnessed firsthand how the journey changes lives and enables women to grow deeper in their faith in Jesus Christ.  I am now blessed and honored to serve as the Secretary and a member of the Board.

Christine Korth, CFO & Board Member

I am an educator who loves to play a part in assisting individuals in their personal and spiritual growth. I joined siHi first as a participant looking for community and encouragement to grow in my faith. Desiring to see others grow in their relationship with Jesus and believe they are loved and beautiful as He made them, I became a group facilitator. It brings me joy to share the hope that we have in Jesus with the women we meet. I am blessed to be on the Board of Directors and see God’s truth and speak healing to women in all walks of life through siHi and Restore Ministries.

Jaynee H. Chaires, Board Member

“I have been a believer as long as I can remember, I have been an athlete throughout my life, and I have over 20 years experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, so in spring 2015 when I heard about siHi and it being a faith and fitness ministry, I immediately jumped at the opportunity to join as a participant. I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. I grew in faith and community during that 10 weeks. Three years later I was asked (for the third time) to co-lead a group with a dear friend. I did not feel qualified, but God called me to take a step of faith. My biggest reservation with stepping into leadership was the fear of praying out loud in front of others. I grew so much in my prayer life, in my faith, and in belief in God’s power to use me and my testimony to reach others. Without hesitation, I have helped facilitate a few other groups since. I now am the “Communications Manger” and help manage Social Media for the ministry and I am the newest member of the Board of Directors.

Transformation of how we see ourselves starts one step at a time…
